Brighton, Utah · Big Cottonwood Canyon
Ride a chairlift to a summit ceremony on Mt Millicent or Majestic. Come back down to the Milly Chalet for dinner. Thirty-five minutes from Salt Lake City, and a world away from it.
The Venues
Every wedding booking includes your ceremony and two extra hours of set-up time. Site fees below are paired with a food and beverage minimum — the minimum is what you spend on catering, not an additional charge.
Up to 165 Guests
Rental of the entire building, including restrooms and reserved parking for up to 75 vehicles. Linens, tables, and chairs are included. Decorating access begins three hours before guests arrive.
Add-On to a Milly Chalet Wedding
Lift access to the top of Mt Millicent for every one of your guests. Ceremony chairs, shade and an aid station, plus bar and food station set-up are all included in the package.
Add-On to a Milly Chalet Wedding
The same summit package, a different lift. Ride Majestic up to a wide-open ridgeline with the canyon rolling away on every side — sky, peaks, and a single big pine.
Up to 75 Guests
Rental of the entire building, including restrooms and reserved parking for up to 40 vehicles. Tables and chairs included. Decorating access begins two hours before guests arrive. The patio ceremony site sits right in the pines.
Any Venue at Brighton
Chairs for 100, an arch, and a water station — three hours total, from the moment decorating starts to the moment the last guest leaves.

Small Events & Intimate Weddings

These packages are set as written — no substitutions, changes, or add-ons. Prices are subject to service charge and applicable taxes.
Food & Beverage
All food and beverage comes through the resort — outside food and beverage vendors aren't permitted at any Brighton event. If what you want isn't on the menu, our chef will build you a custom one. Here's a sense of where pricing lands; the full menus are in the packets below.

Drinks
Brighton personnel must provide and serve all beer, liquor and wine, and all bar service ends one hour before the scheduled end of your event. Brighton determines bar staffing levels. Bar pricing is plus tax and a 22% service charge; gratuities are separate. Our team can help you budget an estimate, but on a hosted or charge bar alcohol is sold on consumption and a final figure can't be guaranteed in advance — a custom bar is the way to lock in a number.

Common Questions
A $300 deposit and a signed event contract. Dates aren't held without both. Your balance is due in full seven days before the event, and anything additional that comes up during the event is settled within 72 hours afterward.
No on both. All food and beverage must come through the resort, and Brighton personnel provide and serve all beer, liquor and wine. Chef David will build a custom menu with you if what you want isn't already on ours. Other outside vendors — photographers, florists, planners — are welcome subject to management approval, though vendors may not consume alcohol at Brighton events.
It's the amount your food and drink order needs to reach. A Milly Chalet wedding is a $3,500 site fee paired with a $5,000 food and beverage minimum, so your catering plus bar needs to add up to at least $5,000. Two things people always ask: yes, your bar counts toward the minimum, and the 22% service charge and tax do not — those sit on top. Most couples reach the minimum without much effort once dinner and drinks are on the page.
It's a $7,500 add-on to a Milly Chalet wedding, and you can pick your summit — Mt Millicent or Majestic. Every guest rides the lift up, where we set up ceremony chairs, shade, an aid station, and bar and food stations. Food and beverage costs are added on top, and the summit bar runs a limited menu — no glass, no specialty drinks.
Ten days out. Changes to menu, head count, or anything else inside of ten days before your event are subject to change fees.
Yes. The Brighton Lodge sleeps 48 and can be bought out entirely — $2,700 for one night, or $2,400 per night for two or more. Individual rooms run $135 to $259 per night depending on the room. Ask us about availability when you book.
Go ahead — there's no fee for it. Bring your own baker, florist, photographer, planner, rentals, or A/V. Outside vendors are subject to management approval and may not consume alcohol at Brighton events, but that's the whole of it. Do tell us what you're picturing on rentals first, though — we can usually source it ourselves and save you the coordination. The one hard line is food and beverage, which has to come through the resort.
We can book your band or DJ, or provide the equipment. Access to built-in A/V runs $250, a wireless microphone is $150, basic speakers and a mic are $450, and a full PA system is $1,500. Or bring your own and book your own — there's no fee for that.
